Water sport is a great attraction at the resort with water skiing, tube rides, wave boarding and snorkeling to keep you entertained. We have skis, tubes and snorkeling equipment available for rental – please book early in peak season! Bring your own jet ski and explore the lagoon at your leisure. We also offer boat trips to Bilene town and the lagoon mouth, as well as Sunset Cruises. Please inquire about the frequency of the boat trips. Sunset Cruises are about 4 hours long and the boat can seat 10 guests comfortably. For larger groups, the party will be split over two boats.

There is a fresh water swimming pool, as well as a 700,000 liter salt water pool. For the children, we have a small artificial lagoon in front of the lodge where they can do safe kayaking and an artificial reef for the most amazing snorkeling.

Driving on the beach is not permitted, but driving up to the beach is. There are numerous 4×4 roads around the area. For day excursions, the fresh water southern lakes are very beautiful and remote. Then there is also a great trip to the Limpopo River mouth about 30km north of the lodge. There is a light house which gives excellent views over the mouth, and one can visit the local villages and experience the friendly Mozambique culture.

As yet, there are no quad bikes available for rental, so please bring yours from home.

Fishing at Bilene is not only weather permitting, but the lagoon mouth can be treacherous for inexperienced skippers. It is therefore advisable to book a trip a couple of days in advance.

Around the month of June we see a lot of whales trekking down south. On the southern side of the lagoon mouth lies Turtle Bay, where the leather back turtles breed (the largest turtle species of all). Marine fish can be seen at the reefs when snorkeling. The area is well known for good game fishing, including sail fish.
